Job summary

CountryPlace Mortgage, Ltd. in Plano, TX is seeking a Senior Mortgage Loan Processor to join our on-site team. This role involves handling a pipeline of residential mortgages, collaborating with Loan Originators, Underwriting and Compliance to ensure accuracy and timely processing.

The Senior Mortgage Loan Processor will contribute to process improvements and assist in training junior processors, with a strong focus on borrower and retail partner satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, Accounting, Finance or Management.
• Processing experience with HUD direct endorser and Ginnie Mae mortgage-backed issuer.
• 3+ years FHA, FNMA and Conventional loan processing experience.
• Experience with VA, Freddie, USDA is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Process residential mortgages including FNMA, FHA and Conventional loans.
• Analyze borrower credit, income and asset profiles for standards compliance.
• Review title, appraisal and disclosures for investor guidelines.

ABOUT THE ROLE

CountryPlace Mortgage, a leading nationwide personal property, mortgage and commercial lender headquartered in Plano, TX, is seeking a Senior Mortgage Loan Processor to help grow our Processing Department. This in-person role is in our Plano, TX office. As a Senior Mortgage Loan Processor, you will collaborate with Loan Originators, Loan Processors, Underwriting, Compliance team and other essential departments. The Senior Mortgage Loan Processor will be responsible for managing a pipeline of residential mortgage loans for optimal output and accuracy. The Senior Mortgage Loan Processor will assist in contributing to the continuous improvement of processes with a focus on our borrowers and retail partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Processing residential mortgages– FNMA, FHA and Conventional loans
• Analyze and evaluate all aspects of borrower credit, employment, income and asset profile ensuring that all bank, investor and regulatory standards are met prior to underwriting submission
• Review title commitment, appraisal and validate required disclosures meet investor guidelines and standards
• Review and clear all processing loan conditions
• Reviews conditions submitted on approved loans, clears conditions when appropriate and submits to Credit Analyst for review and approval
• Comprehensive understanding of investor requirements relating to Manufactured Housing
• Collaborate with the compliance team to maintain compliance policies in accordance with industry regulations
• Ad hoc projects as requested
• Take an active role by making recommendations for continuous process improvement
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy within a fast-paced environment
• Train Mortgage Loan Processors ensuring that team has proper understanding of programs and requirements
• Facilitate pipeline calls with Loan Officers and Mortgage Loan Processors
• Able to effectively problem solve complex issues with rural land surveys, plats, and taxes
• Consistently meets and exceeds individual, team and department objectives
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS degree required in Marketing, Business, Accounting, Finance or Management
• Required processing experience with a HUD direct endorser and Ginnie Mae mortgage-backed issuer
• 3+ years of FHA, FNMA and Conventional loan processing experience
• Experience with VA, Freddie, USDA a plus
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
