This is a full-time, commissioned career opportunity that can be remote within the areas of Gaithersburg, MD, Washington DC, or Northern VA.

Works with prospective customers to identify and secure suitable mortgage loans, helping them achieve their financial goals, including homeownership. Spends 80% or more of working time outside Fulton office locations building relationships and soliciting first mortgages with realtors, builders, accountants, and other external referral sources to obtain mortgage loan applications. Requires cultivating self-generated prospects to generate mortgage loan originations.

1. Develops and expands referral sources outside of Fulton Bank to solicit first mortgages and create a continual stream of origination volume. Maintains contact with realtors, builders, developers, and participates in building/trade shows and real estate-related events to build relationships.
2. Analyzes financial information of applicants to determine loan eligibility, interviews applicants, and recommends suitable financial products, explaining risks and benefits. Advises on loan terms and conditions.
3. Engages in persuasive sales activity to encourage potential customers to do business with Fulton Mortgage Company.
4. Performs loan-related work including analyzing financial data, ensuring loan conformity with terms and regulations, completing paperwork, and communicating with all relevant parties to ensure understanding of the mortgage process.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years recent residential mortgage lending experience in the local market
• 4+ years proven ability to develop referral sources outside the organization

This role may include other duties as assigned, with compliance and regulatory adherence mandatory. The position is fully commissioned.
