Job summary

CACI International Inc is seeking a Senior Software Developer to lead technical planning and modernization of momentum-based systems. You will work with developers, product owners, Momentum SMEs, system integrators, and leadership to design, implement, and sustain enhancements.

The role requires strong leadership, deep technical problem-solving, and experience coaching developers. You will enable CI/CD improvements, enforce secure coding, and guide architecture decisions in a DoD environment,

Qualifications

• 8–15 years software development experience with at least 3 years in a technical lead or engineering lead role.
• Hands-on experience with Momentum or similar complex COTS products.
• Strong Java development experience, including microservices architectures.
• Experience developing and deploying applications in OpenShift.
• Experience with GitLab for source control and CI/CD.
• Strong database skills (Oracle or PostgreSQL).
• Ability to prioritize tasks and lead development efforts in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and mentoring abilities.
• Experience with WebMethods for system-to-system integrations.
• Active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for SCI access and a CI polygraph.
• Willingness to work on-site in Rosslyn, VA, up to five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead Momentum/COTS development and customization.
• Guide integration, extension, and troubleshooting of Momentum modules.
• Design, develop, and maintain services supporting the program’s mission system.
• Ensure secure coding practices per DoD requirements.
• Mentor and manage a software development team.
• Conduct code reviews and improve development processes.
• Support root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.
