Qualifications

• PhD in Biological Science with 2+ years of industry or academic experience.
• Lead feasibility, optimization, verification and validation of molecular diagnostic assays targeting human pathogens.
• Experience with microorganisms involved in infectious diseases.
• Ability to balance multiple studies and synthesize large datasets (PCR/qPCR, Sanger sequencing).
• Experience in nucleic acid extraction/purification and handling clinical specimens in a BSL-2 environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, set up and execute complex experiments, including data collection, summary, and critical analysis to meet project, department, and company objectives.
• Provide data-driven direction and guidance to junior scientific colleagues.
• Perform rigorous analytical studies to demonstrate technical feasibility of complex assays.
