Job summary

Myriad Genetics Inc. is seeking a scientist to conduct and support research experiments in a fast-paced lab in South San Francisco. You will develop methods, perform NGS/RT-qPCR assays, analyze data, and document results with precision.

The role requires a BS or higher in biology or chemistry and hands-on experience with flow cytometry, fluorescence spectroscopy, and related techniques. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Biology, Chemistry, or related science (0–10 years in a research environment, preference for 3+).
• Experience in NGS, RT-qPCR, fluorescence spectroscopy, biomolecule conjugation, immunoassays, data analysis, and image analysis.
• Proficiency with instrumentation for chemical and spectroscopic analysis (fluorescence spectroscopy, flow cytometry, UV-VIS).
• Ability to plan, execute, analyze, and document experiments.
• Strong written and verbal communication; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and/or support research experiments under supervision.
• Perform lab experiments from feasibility to protocol optimization and stability studies.
• Develop methods and prepare SOPs as needed.
• Procure chemicals, materials, and reagents.
• Handle and prepare chemicals and reagents for experiments.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment; maintain detailed records.
• Analyze data using Excel, Tableau, and imaging tools; review literature.
• Communicate results through updates, reports, and presentations.
