Job summary

SHL Medical is seeking a Tooling & Maintenance Technician for our Charleston facility. You will perform meticulous assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of plastic injection molds to ensure reliable equipment and efficient production.

You will work in a high-tech manufacturing environment with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance, documentation, and collaboration with Process Owners to drive improvements. AAS or related training is preferred with 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AAS degree in a related field is preferred or equivalent training/experience.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in tooling, maintenance, or injection molding.
• Ability to document problems and bring solutions quickly.

Responsibilities

• Support assembly/disassembly of plastic injection molds including hot runners.
• Lead daily predictive and preventative maintenance with documentation in SAP.
• Support machine and tool set-ups and production readiness.
• Lead execution of maintenance schedules to meet production goals.
• Maintain controlled areas and environmental monitoring in molding production.
• Document production events and respond to issues with root-cause analysis.
