Job summary

Nordson EFD, a global leader in fluid dispensing, seeks an experienced Mold Maker to build new molds and perform repairs. You will fabricate cavities, cores, inserts, pins, and plates, and operate mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM equipment to meet exact tolerances.

You will measure components with gauges and micrometers, read drawings, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time repair and tooling readiness.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in manufacturing evaluating, troubleshooting, and repairing molds.
• Journeyman status in machining/tooling is preferred.
• Experience with tools ranging 300–13,000 lbs and molding machines 80–770 ton is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build new molds and repair existing ones.
• Measure mold components with gauges, blocks, micrometers to determine machining needs.
• Operate mills, lathes, grinders, EDM equipment (conventional and CNC).
• Disassemble and reassemble tooling as needed.
• Assist in maintaining tooling and status communication to supervisor.
• Support mold prep and production by building fixtures and devices.
