Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a Mold Maintenance Technician to lead and perform mold setup, maintenance, and repair in a manufacturing environment. You will interpret blueprints, manage work orders, and ensure quality through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.

The role requires experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and precise machining. The position supports 3:00 pm–11:00 pm shifts, with responsibilities across injection molds and related production equipment.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school (machinist, engineering technology) preferred or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 4-5 years medical device manufacturing related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all injection molds
• Work on hydraulics, electrical and electronic equipment
• Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance with production supervisors
• Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble injection molds
• Make minor repairs to injection molds while in press
• Block off discrepant cavities as necessary
• Troubleshoot equipment and install replacements; diagnose failures and recommend corrective actions
• Set up production machines including hydraulic equipment according to procedures
• Monitor machinery and process goals and adjust for optimum performance
• Interpret drawings and specs to determine quality standards and inspection needs
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and arrange repairs
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance per schedule
• Adhere to EHS rules, GMPs, ISO 13485 and housekeeping procedures

Education

Certificate in Machinist or Engineering Technology

4-5 years medical device manufacturing experience
