Job summary

Eurofins USA Environment Testing is seeking a Mold Analyst to perform analysis of non-culturable surface and air samples for fungi, validate data, and report to clients. The role requires discretion in operating lab equipment and ensuring timely delivery of results.

The candidate will prepare samples, report data via LIMS, review colleagues’ data, and assist in maintaining accreditations. Monday–Friday, first shift, in Fort Lauderdale, FL with benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Geology or a closely related science.
• 1-2 years of laboratory work experience involving mold and/or asbestos microscopy analysis.
• 8 microbiology units are preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
• Proficiency in English reading, writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze aerobiological, environmental, and water samples for fungal, asbestos and bacteria analysis.
• Enter and report analytical data using the LIMS.
• Perform independent data reviews for other analysts’ work.
• Perform analysis of reference materials and quality control samples as needed.
• Coordinate and manage projects according to rush status and due dates.
