Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer Analyst to work primarily on-site in classified environments within the National Capital Region. You will collaborate with customers, study leads, and model developers to create and execute analysis plans across various simulation environments like AFSIM, SUPPRESSOR, EADSim, among others. Your role includes replicating systems, defining bounds for run matrices, executing simulations, analyzing results, and supporting team members.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Defining study questions and translating them into analysis plans.
- Developing physics-based models to represent system performance.
- Leading simulation runs and producing outputs.
- Post-processing data to evaluate effectiveness and support analysis.
- Verifying and validating simulation inputs and outputs.
- Interpreting model results and presenting findings to customers.
- Ensuring quality of modeling products and briefings.
- Assigning tasks and guiding team members, with potential management of junior staff.
Qualifications
Required:
- 6+ years of experience in mission-level modeling, simulation, and operations analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, operations research, computer science, or related field.
- Knowledge of simulation tools like AFSIM, Suppressor, or EADSIM.
- Experience developing experimental designs and scenario construction.
- Object-oriented programming skills.
- Data analytics experience.
- Knowledge of statistics and Monte Carlo simulations.
- Leadership experience in study or project teams.
- Experience working with digital sources like IC documentation.
- Proven ability to present to US DoD, IC, or Federal Law Enforcement customers.
- U.S. Citizenship and Top Secret SCI clearance.
- Willingness to travel locally.
Desired:
- Extensive experience with modeling tools and methodologies.
- Data visualization skills.
- Knowledge of radar, weapons systems, satellites, etc.
- Software development and project management experience.
- Personnel management experience.
