Job summary

Pinnacle is seeking an experienced model validation professional to perform independent validations of highly complex enterprise models, including machine learning and AI approaches, ensuring alignment with risk management policy and regulatory guidance.

The role involves challenging underlying assumptions, presenting findings to model owners and executives, and overseeing ongoing monitoring and governance of model risk across multiple business areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or economics or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Validate models and analytical tools in fraud monitoring, cybersecurity, credit scoring, risk areas, market/operational risk, finance, and pricing.
• Conduct ongoing monitoring, back-testing, benchmarking, and assess model implementation and use.
• Document observations, propose action plans, and track remediation progress to senior management.
• Provide training and guidance to junior staff and stay current on modeling trends and best practices.
