Job summary

MassMutual seeks a Model Validator to join the Model Validations Team within Insurance, Product & Model Risk. You will perform independent validations across diverse models critical to pricing, reporting and risk decisions, partnering with actuaries, data scientists and business leaders.

You will design tests, validate calculations and contribute to governance documentation, with opportunities to learn advanced analytics and new techniques in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline is required.
• 5 years of direct experience in capital markets and/or investment risk, asset pricing, or liability hedging.
• 3 years of experience with Excel, Access, and VBA.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with modelers, data scientists, actuaries and business leaders.
• Act as risk advisor in design, development and implementation of new models.
• Conduct model validations per governance policy and timelines with deep modeling expertise.
• Assess design, methodology and resilience under evolving economic environments.
• Validate accuracy of model calculations and embedded code.
• Design tests to ensure performance and expected outputs.
• Prepare and distribute validation documentation meeting governance standards.
• Test remediation of findings and support ongoing improvements.
• Research and apply new analytical techniques.
