U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced Model Validation Director for Consumer and Payments within Risk Management and Compliance. This executive will lead independent model risk oversight, partnering with model developers and business leaders to ensure robust validation across a broad range of consumer and payments models.

The role emphasizes leadership, advanced analytics, and effective communication of risks to senior management and regulators, with on-site commitments three days per week.

Formación

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field with 10+ years of modeling/model risk experience.
• Strong leadership experience and ability to guide quantitative teams.
• Ability to connect complex quantitative issues to business decisions and risk.

Responsabilidades

• Lead independent model validation and risk oversight across Consumer and Payments.
• Challenge model design, data, implementation, performance, and monitoring.
• Apply benchmarking, back-testing, sensitivity analysis and challenger approaches.
• Stay abreast of machine learning and AI techniques for validation.
• Communicate validation conclusions to senior management and regulators.
• Build and develop quantitative talent within the team.
• Collaborate with model developers, owners, and business leaders.
