Location & Work Requirement

Arlington, Virginia office – role requires on-site work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years in systems engineering, software engineering, test engineering, or a similar field.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain TS clearance.
• Experience working in a SIL environment.
• Experience with SysML, ideally using Cameo or MagicDraw.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to contribute effectively in one-on-one and small-group settings.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities at once.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active TS clearance.
• Familiarity with Agile methods, especially Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
• OCSMP certification.
• Experience with executable SysML simulation and scripting languages.
• Experience with MBSE approaches such as MagicGrid.
• Understanding of military CONOPS.
• Experience leading other systems engineers.

Responsibilities

• Use MBSE methods and tools to develop system architectures for new programs and integrate capabilities into test or fielded hardware.
• Support the Solution Architect or Principal Investigator by aligning solution architecture with customer requirements.
• Work with existing models and create new ones to represent emerging systems.
• Capture, decompose, and trace system‑level requirements.
• Analyze, define, and refine architectures and interfaces.
• Develop system structure and behavior models.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders and software, test, mechanical, and electrical teams.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Assist technical leadership by preparing briefing materials.
• Provide direct support across a diverse portfolio of programs.
• Help customers develop advanced technology that supports warfighters in the field.
