Job summary

Leidos is seeking a cleared Model Based Systems Engineer for the DINM program with opportunities in Orlando, Dayton, or Northern Virginia. You will lead MBSE activities, develop SysML models, and support system-of-systems digital engineering to advance enterprise command and control solutions for the DoD.

The candidate will coordinate with government and contractor teams, participate in IPTs and Working Groups, and help define technical roadmaps and reference architectures while ensuring program

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 6+ years; additional years may substitute for degree.
  • Must have a minimum of a Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • Demonstrable knowledge in Systems Engineering modeling tools such as DOORS and Cameo.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives and other engineers.
  • Experience in cross-functional planning, coordination and task execution across system integration activities.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse disciplines with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Familiarity with Cloud and Edge Computing, Networks, Tactical Communications, Data Management, Cybersecurity, and C4ISR system integration.
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile program execution and using agile tools like Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain MBSE projects in Cameo Systems Modeler.
  • Develop MBSE-based SysML models, diagrams, and simulations.
  • Support a System of Systems digital engineering approach for architecture concepts.
  • Collaborate with multiple contractors and integrate Cameo inputs into source models.
  • Develop baseline architecture models and capture network configurations.
  • Facilitate technical and programmatic information exchange to support objectives.
  • Participate in Working Groups and IPTs, and formal reviews.
  • Develop technical roadmaps; establish and maintain reference architectures.
  • Document interfaces and standards.

Description

The Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for cleared Model Based Systems Engineer on the Digital Infrastructure Network Manager(DINM)Program in Orlando, Dayton, or Northern Virginia. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Department of the Air Force. We are seeking an accomplished Systems Engineer to join a high-impact team delivering enterprise command and control solutions for the Department of the Air Force. In this critical role, you will partner with the Program Manager to oversee program execution, drive operational excellence, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. You will help manage cross-functional teams, in particular operating out of the Orlando FL location, coordinate with government and contractor stakeholders, and support the integration, testing and deployment of advanced capabilities in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong program management expertise, a collaborative leadership style, and a commitment to delivering mission success on complex, multi-vendor efforts.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Define and maintain MBSE projects in Cameo Systems Modeler.

  • Responsible for the development of MBSE-based SysML models, diagrams, and simulations.

  • Support a System of Systems digital engineering approach to iterate through architecture concepts and design.

  • Collaborating with multiple contractors and integrating Cameo model inputs into source models.

  • Developing baseline architecture model of existing systems and capturing configuration of network.

  • Facilitate technical and programmatic information exchange in support of program objectives.

  • Participate in Working Groups and IPTs, informal and formal technical interchanges, and formal reviews.

  • Develop technical roadmaps; establish and maintain reference architectures.

  • Document interfaces and standards.


Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Must possess a minimum of a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

  • Demonstrable knowledge in Systems Engineering modeling tools (e.g. DOORS and Cameo)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and other systems engineers in the development of complex DoD systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities.

  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience

  • Familiarity with Cloud and Edge Computing, Networks, Tactical Communications, Data Management, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, and C4ISR systems integration.

  • Demonstrated experience with Agile program execution and using agile tools (e.g. Jira and Confluence).


Preferred Qualifications


  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.

  • Prior experience with development descriptive models for network architecture.

  • Prior experience developing Cameo model validation scripts.

  • Prior experience support Department of the Air Force programs.

  • Previous experience working on complex multi-domain systems.

  • Experience with large weapons systems and command and control platforms across the DoD portfolio.

Pay Range

$107,900.00 - $195,050.00


The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
