Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems in Sterling Heights, Michigan invites you to join as Staff Controls Engineer for Mobility. You will lead development and release of controls infrastructure across multiple Powerpack configurations for conventional, hybrid, and full electric powertrains and mobility solutions in ground combat vehicles.

You will collaborate with IPT leads, systems engineers, and suppliers, translating requirements into robust hardware and software solutions while adhering to GDLS

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years engineering experience with 4+ years in industrial controls.
• Mobility systems and electro-mechanical design experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Security clearance eligibility; no sponsorship offered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement controls solutions for Mobility configurations across Powerpack variants.
• Liaise with suppliers of Powerpack modules and components.
• Interface with IPT lead, Systems Engineers, and functional leadership.
• Derive final intent pathways and release using GDLS processes.
• Document and report findings and milestones.
