Job summary

Leidos in San Diego is seeking a mobile UI/UX engineer to translate complex ideas into a modern, user-friendly experience for touch devices. You will lead UX design, prototyping, and collaboration with product owners to shape the product suite for a defense-focused environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years delivering mobile UX, strong communication, and experience with Sketch, Pixate and Adobe Creative Suite, plus the ability to work in an engineering-heavy team with DoD security requirements.

Qualifications

US citizenship and an active Secret DoD security clearance required.
BA/BS in Design, HCI, or CS/Engineering with UX experience and 8+ years of experience.
5+ years delivering UX for mobile products with UX research experience and lean UX.
5+ years producing UX designs and interaction prototypes with industry tools (Sketch, Pixate, Adobe CS).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Work with leadership and product owners to develop UX strategy for multiple platforms.
Design solutions responsive to varying platform form factors and screen widths.
Lead design and execution of usable UX designs, frameworks and information architectures.
Develop interactive prototypes using available tools.
Collaborate with developers, engineers and testers to implement designs.
Manage multiple UX research/design/engineering processes and advocate for UX.
