Job summary

HOLT CAT is seeking a Level 3 Mobile Technician to perform a broad range of mechanical repairs and intermediate diagnostics in the field. This senior role requires extensive experience, independent work, and a focus on safety while serving multiple customer sites.

The technician will diagnose engine issues, perform repairs to factory specifications, and document service reports. Travel up to 100% is possible, with emphasis on VBL leadership and continuous skill development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training.
• Minimum of four years of experience.
• Completion of Levels 1 & 2 curriculum pathway requirements.
• Has met ProTech training requirements for preceding Technician levels; ability to learn and model HOLT's VBL Culture.
• Ongoing Safety Training.

Responsibilities

• Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
• Operates independently in a mobile service environment, managing time and workload across multiple job sites while responding to changing priorities and service needs.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses complex engine malfunctions and failures with minimum supervision.
• Performs detailed engine and related equipment repairs on trucks and trailers with direction and minimum supervision.
• Disassembles, inspects, determines parts required, and reassembles to factory specifications.
• Provides quality control/assurance inspections of completed tasks to include road testing.
• Uses computers and related software to assist in diagnosing and reprogramming engines.
• Completes documentation for service reports, timecards, parts requisition and returns.
• Interprets and utilizes information from operating, maintenance, online resources, and service manuals/bulletins.
• Travels to customer locations; maintains safety and compliance.
