Job summary

Martin Marietta seeks a Master Mobile Mechanic to lead highly skilled teams across sites, diagnosing and repairing heavy mobile equipment with CAT and Komatsu platforms. You will mentor peers, supervise rebuilds, and enforce MSHA and company standards. Strong leadership and advanced diagnostic skills are essential.

The role focuses on safe, efficient operation of heavy equipment, with emphasis on fleet health, documentation, and continuous improvement. The position is full-time and site-based.

Qualifications

• Vocational training or equivalent experience required.
• 4+ years mobile equipment maintenance experience.
• CAT maintenance preferred.
• Welding and metalworking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert-level troubleshooting on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical circuits, and drivetrains for heavy mobile equipment (loaders, haul trucks, dozers, excavators).
• Lead complex rebuilds, precision alignments, and fabrication tasks using advanced tools and diagnostic software.
• Interpret complex electrical and hydraulic schematics to repair control systems.
• Lead root-cause analysis for recurring mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime.
• Conduct post-repair testing and calibration to meet manufacturer specifications and keep operations running.
