Job summary

Brinker International is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own end-to-end delivery across iOS apps and backend services, shaping architecture, performance, and production stability. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions and support Team Member Handheld software.

This 3-12 month contract-to-hire role offers hybrid work from Coppell, TX, with opportunities to mentor engineers and influence engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering with production ownership.
• Expert in either iOS/mobile or backend with cross-functional knowledge.
• Experience maintaining live production applications at scale.
• Ability to diagnose and mentor engineers and resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture decisions across iOS and backend service layers.
• Design features with a focus on performance, usability, and reliability.
• Maintain production stability and drive crash reduction and performance tuning.
• Drive root cause analysis and resolution of high-severity production issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust API contracts and seamless integration.
• Manage release processes including mobile deployments, backend rollouts, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide L3 escalation support and participate in on-call rotations.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.
