Job summary

Sam’s Club is seeking a Software Engineer III to lead design and development of scalable mobile and web solutions, collaborating with product, UX, and backend teams in Bentonville, AR. You will mentor junior engineers, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive quality through code reviews and standards adherence.

Responsibilities include delivering high‑quality React Native frontends for iOS and Android, optimizing performance, and applying modern web practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of software engineering experience; 4 years acceptable as alternative.
• Strong frontend/mobile experience with React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to develop high-quality iOS and Android mobile applications using React Native.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for front end components, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Work closely with the design team to implement pixel‑perfect UI/UX designs and ensure a consistent user experience across all devices and platforms.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues related to the front end of the application.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and prioritize feature requirements and deliver high‑quality solutions on time.
