Job summary

General Motors LLC is seeking a Mobile Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver cutting-edge mobile apps with React Native. You will own and contribute across the full app lifecycle, collaborate with UI/UX, product, and engineering teams, and drive quality through unit/UI tests and performance tuning.

The role requires 7+ years in software development, 5+ years mobile, and experience with AI-assisted tools like Cursor, Claude, or GitHub Copilot.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
7+ years of software development experience, 5+ years of Mobile development.
Experience using AI-assisted software development tools to improve productivity, code quality and testing.
Must have experience as part of a software project delivery effort (Deployments).
Knowledge of software testing, QA and automated testing.
Knowledge of maintaining and debugging live software applications.

Responsibilities

Develop mobile applications using React Native framework.
Develop APIs to support mobile functionality and keep up to date with best practices.
Translate code into user-friendly applications.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop functional mobile applications.
Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions.
Full lifecycle app development using standard design patterns/frameworks.
Performance tuning and usability improvements.
