Texnere Americas Inc. is seeking a Principal / Lead Mobile Software Engineer with strong Android development expertise and BLE communication to design secure mobile apps for medical devices.

The role requires hands-on Android work, familiarity with BLE workflows, and collaboration with iOS teams. Preferred candidates have iOS experience and understanding of regulated medical software processes; hybrid work with three days onsite in Santa Clara, CA is offered.

Qualifications

• Ten years of mobile software development experience.
• Hands-on Android development using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Experience with BLE including device discovery, pairing, bonding, and read/write operations.
• Medical device or healthcare domain experience is required.
• Some hands-on iOS development with Swift/Objective-C and Core Bluetooth.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Android mobile applications communicating with medical devices via BLE.
• Implement secure BLE workflows including device discovery, pairing, bonding, notifications, and firmware updates.
• Collaborate with iOS, QA, clinical, hardware, and systems teams for cross-platform solutions.
• Contribute to iOS development when required using Swift/Obj-C and Core Bluetooth.
• Follow IEC 62304 and medical device software development standards; support verification and regulatory activities.
