Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Mobile) to lead cross‑platform iOS development using Cordova. You will work with Swift/Obj-C, React, and front-end frameworks to deliver high‑quality hybrid apps across devices and OS versions.

The role emphasizes optimizing performance, debugging platform issues, and deploying to the App Store, with collaboration across UI/UX, backend, and QA teams, plus strong documentation and security practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in software development or High School + 8 years experience.
• Experience with authentication, MFA is a plus.
• Experience with Ionic Framework.
• Good understanding of micro-front-end architecture.
• Knowledge of PWAs and cloud services (AWS/Azure/Firebase).
• Experience with React Native or Flutter is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain hybrid mobile apps for iOS.
• Optimize app performance and responsiveness.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and fix platform-specific issues.
• Deploy apps to Apple App Store in compliance with guidelines.
• Collaborate with UI/UX, backend, and QA teams to deliver quality apps.
• Maintain documentation for processes, architecture, and specs.
• Stay updated on mobile development trends and best practices.
• Hands-on experience in iOS (Swift/Obj-C) and Cordova.
• Integrate third-party SDKs and develop custom plugins.
• Adhere to mobile security best practices; use debugging tools.
