Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Mobile) to build cross‑platform iOS apps using Cordova and native Swift/Objective‑C. You will work with React-based front-ends, implement plugins, and ensure performance on multiple devices.

The role requires strong iOS experience, familiarity with CI/CD, App Store deployments, and security best practices. You will collaborate with UI/UX, backend, and QA teams to deliver high‑quality hybrid applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of software development experience, or a high school diploma with 8+ years.
• Experience with authentication and multi-factor authentication is a plus.
• Experience with Ionic Framework.
• Understanding of micro-front-end architecture.
• Knowledge of PWAs.
• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Firebase.
• Experience with React Native or Flutter is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain hybrid mobile applications for iOS.
• Optimize app performance and responsiveness.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve platform-specific issues.
• Deploy applications to the Apple App Store.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality mobile applications.
• Maintain documentation for development processes, app architecture, and technical specifications.
• Stay up to date with the latest mobile development trends and best practices.
• Proven hands-on experience in iOS (Swift/Objective-C).
• Hybrid mobile development using Cordova.
• Experience integrating third-party SDKs and developing plugins.
• Experience with mobile security best practices.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.
• Experience integrating Cordova plugins for native features.
• Experience with mobile debugging tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of App Store deployment processes.
• Understanding of Apple Push Notification Services.
• Experience with Git version control, Agile methodologies (JIRA), and CI/CD.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; able to work independently.
