Job summary

Fieldpiece Instruments is seeking a Senior iOS/Android Engineer to design, develop, and support native mobile apps that connect technicians to data from Fieldpiece tools. You will work with Product, UX, Cloud Engineering, and Software teams to build high-performance mobile experiences and integrate with SaaS/DaaS platforms.

The role is based in Orange, CA with a planned move to Tustin, CA in 2028. A hybrid schedule is offered with onsite three days per week and up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development, including 3+ years mobile.
• Native iOS/Android experience with Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, or Java.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and cloud-based services.
• Knowledge of mobile storage (SQLite/Room/Core Data).
• Server-side basics (Go/Node.js/Python).
• Git workflows and code reviews in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native iOS and Android apps.
• Support full lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring.
• Integrate apps with RESTful APIs and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, Cloud, and Software Engineering teams.
• Champion mobile engineering best practices and maintain code quality.
