Job summary

Hypori, Inc. is a high-growth cybersecurity SaaS company building a secure mobility platform. We seek a Senior Engineer - Mobile Application to develop enterprise Android apps, participate in an evolving CI/CD pipeline, and deliver robust features for on-prem and cloud deployments.

You will lead a small team, tackle challenging issues, and drive secure design, testing, and collaboration in a fast-growing startup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing mobile applications on Android.
• 3+ years of experience leading the development of mobile applications.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, including coroutines and Flow.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose for declarative UI.
• Familiarity with Gradle (Kotlin DSL) and multi-module Android projects.
• Experience with a dependency injection framework (Koin, Dagger, or Hilt).
• Strong working knowledge of Kotlin coroutines and Java threading.
• Strong working knowledge of MVVM and unidirectional data flow design patterns.
• Working knowledge of Android Jetpack fundamentals (ViewModel, Lifecycle, DataStore).
• Experience writing unit tests with JUnit and a mocking library (e.g., MockK).
• Experience in testing cloud-based applications (AWS or Azure).
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix-based operating systems.
• Strong understanding of git version control.

Responsibilities

• Protect intellectual property, user data, and system integrity by following secure development practices.
• Maintain and communicate status in Jira and in daily standups.
• Reconcile product requirements with an understanding of Android internals.
• Implement production-quality features for the Hypori Client app.
• Enhance the Hypori Client app to leverage Android capabilities in the ecosystem.
• Create unit tests and run test suites with test automation framework.
