Job summary

Vanguard is seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable React Native applications. You will collaborate with product, design, and platform teams to deliver high-quality mobile experiences and continuously improve performance and reliability.

The role requires deep JavaScript/TypeScript expertise, cross-platform development, and cloud-native AWS/serverless capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years related work experience, with at least two years of software development experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience; graduate degree preferred.
• Experience designing and developing cross-platform applications with React Native.
• Experience building cloud-native applications and services using AWS and serverless technologies.
• Experience integrating native iOS capabilities, Apple frameworks, and third-party SDKs within React Native applications.
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript. Experience building maintainable, type-safe codebases.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and demonstrate a hands-on understanding.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, integration patterns/practice, data modeling principles and best practices
• A good track record of project delivery for large cross-team projects
• Strong communicationskills and the ability to connect with engineers, managers, PMs, customers
• Experience with Mobile/Web development frameworks, and micro-service architecture

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures; verify that deliverables meet requirements.
