Job summary

FleetPride is the largest after-market distributor of heavy‑duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S. The Mobile Technician III role focuses on mastering preventative maintenance across vehicle systems, performing advanced diagnostics, and training other technicians.

This position may include after-hours on-call rotation and shop duties between service calls. The candidate will inspect, diagnose, and repair components, ensuring high-quality service and safety.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience repairing Class 7 & 8 trucks and trailers.
• Diagnostic experience.
• Training experience.
• Welding experience.
• Air Brake Certified.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction.
• Provide preventative maintenance solutions to customers.
• Maintain 80% productivity.
• Train new service shop employees on company procedures.
• Inspect orders for completion and quality before delivery.
• Perform routine maintenance like oil changes, lubrications and filter replacements.
• Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric).
• Test drive vehicles and components with proper equipment.
• Troubleshoot suspension systems, including leaf and coil springs.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and exhaust systems, steering, and A/C.
