Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Senior Level Mobile Diesel Technician in Baltimore, MD to diagnose and repair heavy- and medium-duty equipment. This role emphasizes preventive maintenance, diagnostic skill, and strong customer communication.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years or more experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty/medium duty equipment
• High School diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical certification preferred
• Must have minimum tools required per policy
• DOT safety requirements and background checks required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers to discuss preventative maintenance, repair estimates, and ensure customer satisfaction
• Road test vehicles to identify causes of complaints and verify repair quality
• Perform comprehensive PMs and heavy-duty repairs across a range of equipment
• Maintain proper maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety policies
• Mentor other technicians as needed
