Job Description

The salary range for this position is $124,134.40 - $155,168 (Annually).

We are seeking Senior Mobile Developers for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. (HQ: Chicago, IL). Responsibilities include designing, specifying, developing, implementing, and testing mobile application software within an agile development process. You will perform software integration and customization, optimize application performance, create technical documentation, diagnose application issues, lead performance optimization analysis, and develop multi-threaded and distributed multi-tier systems. You will also develop and release mobile applications to the Play Store, mentor developers, and work within a technical environment that includes full-stack Android development, MVVM, TDD, RESTful APIs, connecting mobile applications to back-end services, Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Android Studio, CI/CD pipelines, and integrating third-party SDKs.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in mobile development and full-stack development.
  • Experience with Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, or Android Studio.
  • Experience developing and releasing Android applications to the Play Store.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, MVVM architecture, multi-threaded and distributed systems, app performance optimization, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Background check and drug test required.
  • Remote work is possible from states where Northwestern Medicine is registered for business, but onsite training or meetings may be required.
