Job summary

ABM Industries in San Francisco is seeking a Lead Mobile Building Engineer to oversee maintenance across multiple facilities. The position offers a Day shift, Monday through Friday, with a pay rate of $88.28 per hour and weekly pay.

You will supervise preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, provide technical guidance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BAS and life-safety systems, and ensure safety programs and AES standards are followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities management, or building engineering.
• 2+ years of experience leading maintenance teams or serving in a senior building engineer capacity.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision and is responsible for the implementation of all preventive maintenance and repair operations at the facility.
• Schedules emergency repair activities according to priority and the abilities of assigned personnel.
• Provides technical advice, encouragement and instruction to subordinates in such areas as electric theory, mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and safety procedures.
• Perform equipment inspections, noting equipment condition, ensuring that proper maintenance is being performed in accordance with AES standards.
• Responsible for the implementation of the quality assurance program for all work performed by the department.
• Maintains and performs repairs to buildings, utilities, grounds and equipment.
• Optimizes the repair and maintenance of HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems.
• Uses and helps provide best practices to troubleshoot and repair equipment and system problems so that problems are resolved in the most efficient and effective manner.
• Maintains continuous operations of equipment by trouble‑shooting and repairing.
• Provides hands‑on training and collaboration to other engineering team members.
