Job summary

US Navy MLS leaders drive the Nation's clinical laboratory operations worldwide, managing replenishment of the blood supply and guiding safe blood product administration in DoD facilities and forward deployed units.

They supervise a major training pipeline for laboratory technicians and ensure compliance with regulatory standards to deliver positive patient care outcomes, while orchestrating lab informatics, equipment operations, accreditation and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical laboratory operations in DoD MTFs and forward deployed units.
• Oversee replenishment of operational blood supply.
• Guide safe administration of blood products.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality of care in patient outcomes.
• Oversee lab informatics, biomedical equipment operations, accreditation, and management of resources such as personnel, equipment and supplies.
