Google is seeking a Senior PhD Software Engineer to design and build advanced ML systems across the stack. You will collaborate with teams to translate research into scalable products, from hardware acceleration to production APIs, and contribute to Google-scale AI initiatives.

As a PhD graduate, you will leverage research expertise across AI/ML to drive impact in products spanning AI, infrastructure, cloud, YouTube, search, and ads.

Qualifications

• PhD degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/AI/ML.
• Experience coding in Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript or Golang.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate or lead on team projects to carry out design, analysis, and development of advanced ML systems across the stack.
• Support building end-to-end ML systems across the full stack from hardware acceleration to production APIs.
• Optimize system performance by resolving bottlenecks, memory inefficiencies, and production errors.
• Write well-tested code, conduct reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
