Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking a Machine Learning Software Engineer to lead engineering teams and drive technical direction in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will design, build, and deploy ML models, mentor engineers, and collaborate across product, design, and operations.

Candidates should bring 7+ years in software development, 4+ years in ML/LLM, strong Python (FastAPI) and React, and production AWS expertise. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes code quality and scalability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• 4+ years of AI/ML/LLM or exposure to ML systems.
• Deep proficiency in Python with FastAPI or similar framework.
• Strong React and front-end architecture experience.
• Production AWS and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with testing, QA, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leading agile ceremonies and teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration; mentoring track.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy ML models and pipelines at scale.
• Partner with software engineers to integrate ML into products.
• Champion test-driven development, code hygiene, and clean architecture.
• Own technical design documents for shared understanding.
• Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and incremental delivery.
• Lead backend (Python/FastAPI), frontend (React), and AWS infrastructure.
• Set high standards for code quality, testing, and reliability.
• Mentor engineers and foster growth.
• Drive code reviews and architectural discussions.
• Document designs to ensure long-term clarity.
• Design resilient systems with observability and fault tolerance.
• Participate in incident response and postmortems.
• Collaborate with product/design/others on roadmap priorities.
