Job summary

CapTech seeks a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to design and deploy scalable ML systems for enterprise clients. You will lead cross‑functional teams, decompose business needs into data‑driven models, and productionize ML solutions with a focus on performance and scalability.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in data engineering/ML on cloud platforms, strong Python/Scala skills, and experience mentoring engineers. Onsite work is typical with remote compatibility where feasible.

Qualifications

• 7+ years delivering data engineering and ML solutions on cloud platforms.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading engineers and mentoring in data engineering space.
• Hands-on with large datasets and Python/Scala.
• Proficient with SQL, Spark, NoSQL and cloud data processing.

Responsibilities

• Strategize with clients and cross-functional teams to implement end-to-end ML solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and align solutions to client needs.
• Deconstruct client needs into data-driven models and analytics.
• Transform large datasets on enterprise data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Design, develop and deploy analytical solutions (recommenders, NLP, risk).
• Productionize ML systems emphasizing optimization and scalability.
• Grow CapTech ML/Data Science practices via proposals and leadership.
