Expedia Group in Austin seeks a ML Scientist III to research and build end-to-end pricing systems for Vrbo Pricing. You will apply causal inference, operations research, and ML methods on large-scale data to optimize pricing strategies and performance.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration and deployment to production with AB testing. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in quantitative fields, strong ML foundations, and experience with big data tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience and degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Computer Science, or equivalent quantitative field
• Experience analyzing large datasets to extract insights guiding solution development
• Strong background in modern ML/data science techniques and their mathematical foundations
• Ability to clearly communicate with cross-functional partners of varying technical levels
• Experience with pricing and large-scale marketplace experiments is a plus

Responsibilities

• Research and build scalable pricing systems end-to-end with engineering rigor
• Apply causal inference, operations research, and ML methods to pricing problems
• Define success metrics for short- and long-term performance and monitor them
• Collaborate with ML and data science teams to advance Expedia Group's pricing capabilities
