Nebius is seeking senior- and staff-level ML engineers to advance applied research in AI. You will conduct experiments to train large language models across diverse environments and collaborate with teams to translate findings into real-world AI deployments.

The role emphasizes strong foundations in ML/RL, deep learning for language, distributed multi-node training, and rigorous experimentation with clear documentation and potential publications.

Qualifications

• Profound understanding of theoretical foundations of ML and RL.
• Deep expertise in modern DL for language processing and generation.
• Experience training large models on multi-node clusters.
• Strong software engineering skills, primarily Python.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments to train a large language model on traces of interactions with various environments.
• Explore guided generation and search in the trajectory space.
• Mine relevant data at web scale and use it in model post-training.
• Experiment with different reinforcement learning configurations in verifiable domains.
• Explore training AI agents on tasks with non-verifiable reward signals.
