Job summary

Parafin, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to lead the evolution of its ML Platform within the Infrastructure team.

You will build scalable, reliable systems for model experimentation, training, evaluation, inference, and retraining powering underwriting and ML-driven products. You will design core abstractions, ship production-ready ML tooling, and own ML platform end-to-end, supporting batch and real-time underwriting infrastructure in collaboration with Data Science and Platform Engineering

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including ML platform/MLOps
• Strong Python; solid software design and testing fundamentals
• Proficiency with SQL; hands-on Spark/PySpark experience
• Knowledge of ML fundamentals and production concerns like drift and monitoring
• Expertise with modern data/ML stacks (AWS, Databricks, Airflow)

Responsibilities

• Turn notebooks into software with reusable, tested components
• Build developer-friendly ML abstractions (SDKs, CLIs, templates)
• Stand up and scale real-time ML inference platform
• Improve batch ML inference including scheduling and cost controls
• Own and expand the feature store with offline/online semantics
• Instrument training/inference for latency, throughput, and data quality
