Roblox Corporation is seeking a Senior/Principal Platform Engineer for the ML Platform. You will own the platform as a product, delivering APIs, SDKs, CLIs, and UIs that empower internal developers to build, train, and deploy ML models at scale.

The role blends product thinking, backend engineering, and infrastructure, with hands-on ML experience valued. Expect collaboration across ML, Infra/SRE, and Data Science teams, and a focus on scalable, safe, and cost-effective systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience with system design for scalable ML platforms.
• Strong focus on shipping product with good developer experience and APIs.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and scalable platform tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own platform as a product and set direction end to end: define requirements and ship APIs, SDKs, CLIs, and UIs.
• Bootstrap and maintain core ML Platform components (Serving Layer, Model Registry, Pipeline Orchestrator).
• Set technical strategy for high-scale, reliable infrastructure with clear SLOs for latency and cost.
• Design developer experiences with templates and clear docs to reduce time to production.
• Instrument platform usage and measure adoption, friction, reliability, and cost.
