Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer in Mountain View to lead data and model insights and infrastructure initiatives. You will design and optimize large-scale ML pipelines, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and shape the architecture of production ML systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of software development experience.
7 years leading project strategy, ML design, and ML infrastructure.
5 years in ML fields like speech/audio or RL.
5 years of design, architecture, and testing/launching software products.

Responsibilities

Understand ML pipelines and architecture, optimizing resource use and performance.
Drive adoption of next-gen AI/ML techniques to solve high-impact business problems.
Set the 'gold standard' for code quality, testing, and deployment within the team.
Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and represent the team in technical discussions.
Partner with researchers to operationalize models and align roadmaps with stakeholders.
