Job summary

General Motors is accelerating autonomous driving through a dedicated Embodied AI team. The Senior ML Infra Engineer will shape core systems enabling rapid dataset generation, training, evaluation, and iteration of our Autonomous Driving models, from large foundational models to production deployments.

You will build reliable, high-performance training platforms, drive complex projects, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with senior staff to maximize platform adoption and impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in large-scale distributed systems, ML infra, or similar.
• Hands-on ML workflows from training to production.
• Experience with cloud-native services and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy scalable ML training/evaluation platforms.
• Drive complex technical projects with strong ownership and reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions with senior engineers.
• Collaborate with partner teams to meet real-world ML needs.
• Prioritize platform investments to improve performance and developer productivity.
• Maintain high-quality code with reviews and documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns.
