Job summary

An experienced Software Engineer (Level 2/3) is sought in Laurel, MD to develop, prototype, and enhance compliance modernization analytics and business processing systems.

The role covers automated tooling, ML model development, data processing, and integration with enterprise platforms within an R&D environment.

Required TS/SCI with polygraph, a CS degree (or 18 years of relevant experience without a degree), and strong Python/Java/Scala skills in Linux.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and extensive software engineering experience.
• Advanced development in Python/Java/Scala in Linux environments.
• Experience with ML/DS tools and libraries (scikit-learn, Jupyter Notebooks).
• Familiarity with governance standards and enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and maintain compliance automation tools and business processing analytics.
• Implement, test, and validate machine learning algorithms in an R&D environment.
• Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis and feature engineering on complex datasets.
• Build, deploy, and monitor ML models, data flows, and performance telemetry.
• Integrate MapReduce workflows with backend data pipelines.
• Develop full-stack and analytical software using Python, Java, Scala in Linux.
• Collaborate using Jira, Confluence, GitLab/Bitbucket, maintaining documentation.
