Job summary

Agero is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance our ML initiatives and deploy cutting‑edge models that improve operations and customer satisfaction. You will own end‑to‑end ML projects, collaborate with engineering, data, and product teams, and mentor junior colleagues.

The role emphasizes scalable ML systems, best practices in evaluation and monitoring, and continuous improvement of ML capabilities across our services. Travel may be required for onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, math or related field.
• 3–5 years software development and design experience.
• 3–5 years ML systems experience.
• 3–5 years AWS experience (ECR, S3, SageMaker).
• 5+ years Python experience (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with web services, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD.
• Experience with tree-based models, DVC, Airflow or SQL is nice to have.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Motivated to understand data and its business impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ML models and algorithms to optimize operations and service delivery.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Lead the full lifecycle of ML projects from ideation through deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure best practices in ML, including model evaluation, validation, and monitoring.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in ML applications and processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay abreast of ML advances and propose improvements and new approaches.
