Kard is building commerce media infrastructure that connects financial institutions, platforms, and merchants through data and rewards. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you design, build, and operate the production systems that turn ML into durable product capabilities.

Your scope includes personalization, recommendations, optimization, experimentation, and shared ML platforms. You will work with ML engineers and data scientists, partnering with Data and Product to move models from

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software or ML engineering experience.
• Proven track record deploying and operating ML systems in production.
• Strong fundamentals: system design, APIs, testing, observability.
• Experience designing distributed data-processing or high-throughput services.
• Fluency across the ML lifecycle: data pipelines to model serving and monitoring.
• Ability to investigate production issues across models, data, and code.
• Autonomy to lead complex technical work and architect decisions with long-term impact.
• Strong collaboration across ML, data engineering, analytics, and product.
• Commitment to raising team capabilities through mentorship and reviews.
• Demonstrated experience matters more than degree or industry background.
• U.S. core business hours availability and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate end-to-end ML systems across batch and real-time workloads.
• Develop production capabilities for personalization, recommendations, ranking, and experimentation.
• Build reusable ML platforms, pipelines, and tooling to improve reproducibility and speed.
• Own the operational lifecycle of production models including observability and drift detection.
• Partner with ML practitioners to turn prototypes into maintainable systems and integrate with products.
• Provide technical leadership for ML architecture and distributed systems while balancing tradeoffs.
