Job summary

Dyno Therapeutics is seeking a Sr. Machine Learning Engineer to build and scale ML infrastructure that accelerates genetic medicine research at the frontier of AI-driven biology.

You will collaborate with AI scientists, protein engineers and other ML engineers to translate research into robust, reusable systems, optimizing training, inference, and agentic AI workflows. This full-time role in Watertown, MA (remote) offers competitive compensation, equity, and opportunities to push the boundaries

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience building software for machine learning.
• Experience containerizing code for remote environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with large-scale distributed training or inference using Ray or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with ML performance engineering (profiling, bottlenecks, resource usage).
• Ability to design and own technically complex systems from requirements through rollout.

Responsibilities

• Build modular, generalizable ML training systems for protein design models.
• Improve scalability, reliability, and performance of ML training/inference infrastructure.
• Optimize model performance using GPU profiling and custom kernels.
• Develop agentic AI workflows that accelerate research while maintaining safety and reliability.
• Collaborate with AI scientists, protein engineers, and other ML engineers to translate research into reusable tools.
• Contribute to the ML engineering stack, including distributed training and orchestration.
• Stay current on emerging ML tools and help evaluate/adopt new approaches.
