Petra Security is seeking a senior ML Engineer to own our core detection platform. You will build and evolve real-time detection models, coordinate with ML leadership, and ensure production readiness. You’ll shape scalable architectures and raise the technical bar in a lean team.

You’ll work with a stack including Node, TypeScript, React, and Python, shipping models that defend against evolving threats in a high-autonomy, in-person SF environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of machine learning engineering experience, with production shipping.
• Strong quantitative fundamentals: probability, statistics, linear algebra, anomaly detection.
• Experience training and deploying models in production: select appropriate models and understand limitations.
• Strong engineering fundamentals: production-grade code, end-to-end ownership.
• Experience with real-time or streaming pipelines, feature stores, high-performance databases, and distributed systems.
• High agency and output: identify problems, propose solutions, execute.
• Scrappy: fast shipping while maintaining quality.
• Comfortable in a small-team, high-autonomy environment.
• Proud of craft and durable systems.

Responsibilities
