Job summary

PetraSecurity in San Francisco is seeking a senior software engineer to own large parts of our AI-driven detection platform, from data ingestion to customer-facing surfaces.

You will work on a small, high-autonomy team, build scalable systems, and collaborate closely with customers to understand workflows.

The stack is Node, TypeScript, React, and Python; you will shape architecture and push for robust, production-ready systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering in production systems at scale.
• Full-stack fluency from data model to UI with strong opinions about boundaries.
• Experience building data-intensive or real-time systems; security/fraud detection a plus.
• Strong ML/AI integration: shipped models in production.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the detection platform across ingestion, analysis, and decisioning.
• Drive end-to-end product quality from insight to shipped features.
• Architect for scalable growth to support rapid user expansion.
• Raise the technical bar; establish patterns and ensure code quality.
