Job summary

Apple Watch team is seeking a versatile Senior ML Software Engineer to help deliver features like DoubleTap, AssistiveTouch, Handwashing, and Raise to Speak. You will collaborate with designers, ML engineers, and software experts to turn loosely defined ideas into real sensing experiences for Apple Watch users.

In this hybrid role, you’ll train models, prototype on-device, and productize at scale to reach millions of Apple Watch users worldwide.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in ML/CS or related field
• Strong ML methods knowledge and time-series analysis
• Proficient Python with production-quality code
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience on Apple platforms and large-scale systems

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize ML algorithms leveraging multimodal sensor data such as motion and audio to detect activities and contexts
• Deploy ML models on-device with power-efficient frameworks
• Drive research ideas into high-impact, user-facing features
• Design tools and analytics to validate algorithm performance offline and on-device
