Job summary

PitchBook, a Morningstar company, seeks a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join the AI & ML Insights team in Seattle. You will design, train, deploy, and operate ML models that power NLP and generative insights across the PitchBook platform.

You will own end-to-end ML components, collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers, and help advance scalable data pipelines and GenAI capabilities in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
• 6+ years of software/machine learning engineering experience with AI/ML for insight generation.
• Hands-on NLP, ML, classifiers/transformers/LLMs; experience with common ML libraries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver AI/ML capabilities for insight generation on the PitchBook Platform.
• Design, train, deploy, and operate NLP/LLM models and services.
• Mentor peers and participate in code/design reviews.
• Build models using classifiers, transformers, and LLMs; integrate into AI infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and data teams to align with product goals.
• Explore GenAI, NLP, and search technologies; translate research into production solutions.
• Contribute to model transparency, monitoring, and security practices.
